Record the loss and contact the consulate
Keep available copies of the passport, visa, latest stamp and TDAC, record the circumstances and obtain a police record of the loss. Use the Russian MFA directory to identify the consular office and ask about its loss procedure. Tourist Police 1155 can assist with police contact. Do not send personal records to a private account promising a fast passport replacement.
Separate return to Russia from continued residence
Russian MFA provides a certificate for entry/return when a passport is lost abroad. It is a return document, not a general passport substitute for residence or further tourism. The consulate verifies identity and nationality using its prescribed evidence. Separately check with Thai Immigration how to restore or transfer stay and departure records; a new passport does not reset deadlines. Confirm airline and transit-country acceptance before booking.
